Travel Link IS COMMITTED TO responsible tourism Our operation in the village of Tallatast means to bring pre-schooling educaton to the children of this village. We have created a small school for 25 children and the sponsorship for this action comes from the benefit of an excursion that we have created to this beautiful area situated off the beaten track of usual tourism in the region of Marrakech. The village of Talatast is situated at an altitude of 1100m 1 hour 30mn’s drive from Marrakech. The inhabitants are extremely poor and live from subsistance farming and goat breeding as well as the making of traditional plain pottery. To fire this pottery, the inhabitants of the village do great damage to the environment by cutting wood and the rare bushes that grow in this area. Our program with the people in this village is to help them understand the danger of destroying their environment that way and trying to help them find other alternatives. |
