American Cabell Robinson drew this famous course of Amelkis, located at the feet of the mountains of the High Atlas, which opened its 18 holes in October 1995.
The architect wished to offer to the players a difficult course and very technique. It made a success of its bet by offering a course spectacular, undulating, embossed, with hillocks, departures plug, of the traps to each hole, a course strewn with sublimes obstacles with immense bunkers which defend each green.
Each hole is different, with doglegs which curve between the bumps and the 7 lakes judiciously established which can offer nasty surprises. It is a permanent challenge to play on this course.
For proof in 2000, Amelkis accommodated the Open one of Morocco.
The most difficult hole: the 15, one by 5 with the obligatory crossing of broad water part for to arrive on the green.
A course for very good player.
Reception sympathetic nerve.
Club house, proshop, restoring with terrace dominating the course, supplement this unit. |
